Leilinde
Leilinde is a unique care complex with nursery homes and apartments for elderly people with limited mobility. It is designed in two curved buildings around a lifted square like two caring hands. Around the square is a “care boulevard” designed like a shopping mall with polyclinics, physiotherapists, general practitioners, pharmacies and also childcare. A public restaurant welcomes local residents.
A futureproof residential care environment
Leilinde is a collaboration between housing association WoonInvest and WoonZorg Haaglanden and is considered an example of a modern care building in its level of quality but also in its capability to transform easily from nursery chamber to residential apartment or the other way around. Leilinde is also very sustainable, all buildings were equipped with heat and cold storage in combination with a huge heat pump and an energy roof.
