The Spaansche Hof in The Hague is undergoing a remarkable transformation. The architects at SYNRG have contributed to this project by providing the technical designs.

This monumental city palace, also known as the House of Assendelft, traces its origins to the 15th and 18th centuries and was acquired by RE:BORN Real Estate in 2020 for redevelopment.
After years of vacancy, the building is being restored and returned to the city with respect for its heritage and a strong focus on sustainability. The palace is becoming fully electric, powered by PVT panels, with improved insulation and a garden designed as a biodiversity test site.
The transformation is well underway: a once-closed courtyard is now a bright, open space, hotel rooms are nearly complete, and a wine bar is taking shape in the cellar. All while preserving the original monumental details.
